Copyrights and Technology Implemention Issues Discussion

Image
This blog will be going over three main topics today: copyrights and fair use, the implementation of technology and the issues that brings, and the new skills learned from the experience of creating a newsletter.      Copyrights can be explained as the protection and permission to use a creators content. This could be music, art, writing, and more. Fair use can be described as the doctrine that allows use of certain works without the creators permission and/or payment. This can be the case for research, reporting, etc. A way that these terms can be implemented into my classroom is by having students practice getting their work that they publish publicly online copyrighted. This will serve as practice and for deepening understanding about the process of copyright. Students can also take time to research material that can be used underneath fair use.      Two main issues of implementing technology into the classroom is dec...

MS Word Experience and View of ISTE Standards

Hello again! This post, as the title states, is going to talk about the experience I have had with MS Word throughout my life. I will also go over the ISTE standards for educators and highlight some of my opinions on them. Furthermore, I will also go over my opinion on the term "digital native" as well as a discussion on the topic of badges. I hope you enjoy reading!      MS Word is by far the word processing software I have the most experience with. All throughout elementary and middle school, it was the word processing software I solely used. It wasn't until I reached high school I was introduced to other methods such as Google Docs. MS Word is both comfortably familiar yet arguably difficult. I will probably always prefer Word simply because it is familiar and the one I have the most experience with, but it admittedly has a few quirks. For example, when moving images it can be very disagreeable and mess with the format before it can be ri...

Introduction of a FSU Student

Image
Hello all! As my blog heavily implies, I am currently a FSU student. I major in Psychology and I am currently acquiring a minor in education. I have also completed a child development minor. I am a third year this semester; however, I have enough credits to be viewed as a senior. I am expected to graduate in either Fall 2022 or Spring 2023. Now, as for my identity outside of FSU, some of my hobbies include crocheting, gardening, and video games. I also enjoy anime and, oddly enough, British dramas such as Downton Abbey and the BBC show Merlin. I do attend my local church as well on Sundays as well as Wednesdays. Between all that, I work part-time at a local diner. The typical busyness of a college student.    " New Project " by MsMimiSmeeks is licensed under CC BY-NC-SA 2.0     This blog is primarily used for my Educational Technology class, therefore I will detail my prior experiences using educational technology in an educa...
