       Hello everyone! Today I am going to be talking about my experiences in my EME2040 class, open educational resources (OERs), and about new skills I acquired working on a PowerPoint for information dissemination assignment. Hope you enjoy!     I am in the online class of EME2040. My overall experiences with the class has been positive, with the weekly assignments being clearly laid out. The assignments have also been interesting and engaging. I suppose one thing I wish was a bit different is for the details of some of the assignments to be posted more in advance, especially since it is an online class. However, I understand why things are kept to a more defined schedule rather than a more work-at-your-own-pace kind of schedule.           Hello all! Here's the eighth blog post of the year! Today, the blog will be discussing some new skills and experience I've gained in creating a web design with the Weebly program, as well as the skills and experience I've gained with Diigo. Additionally, I  am going to talk about a website that helps me stay on top of technological innovation for education in order to help me further my professional development.      I have had experience with web design in the past, but this is the first time I used the Weebly program to create and design a website. This past week I used Weebly in order to design and create a teacher's class page, which included information such as a personal bio, announcements, calendar events, etc. I also included resources for the students and their parents, such as educational games.      Hello again! This is the seventh blog post and we will be talking about teacher classroom pages, teacher productivity tools, and my experience with PBWorks. I hope you enjoy this blog post!       For this post I went to Mrs. Edwards first grade classroom page from Sierra Elementary School. This page includes information such as a supply list, a calendar, and contact information which is all available to the public. The teacher also included an "About" tab which talks about her life. There she introduces herself along with her family, detailing fun events and outings her family took. This is something similar to what my mom, who is an elementary teacher, does where she writes a letter to the students in order to introduce herself. Overall, the classroom pages seem like a fun way to introduce a teacher and allow easy access for parents to know more about the classroom their child is in.  Hello all! I hope this week is going well! This post will discuss my experiences with Diigo, my thoughts on blogging, and Web 2.0 tools. Without further ado, we can get right into it!     These past two weeks are the first time I've ever used Diigo, and before I had never even heard of it. My first impression of Diigo was that it looked confusing, and that it didn't look very good. However, after a couple tutorial videos, Diigo has proven to be easier to use than expected and has proven to be relatively useful. The advantages of using Diigo is pretty good, as it's a great way to share resources and your thoughts on them. One feature I appreciate is how you can annotate and leave sticky notes on webpages you share, so that you can show others what you note of an article or other resource very easily.      Before this blog, I have had experience writing a blog once before.        Hello all! This is blog journal five and will be going over my early experiences with Twitter, the digital divide, academic software, and badges. Hopefully you all glean something from my commentary and enjoy!     The first time I made a Twitter account was this month, so I haven't had too much time with it. However, I have had exposure to twitter through other social media accounts and media. Through Instagram and News stories I have seen tweets and have gained knowledge of twitter through that way. Now that I have an account I have gained experience tweeting and receiving tweets, as well as getting direct information from educational platforms. Twitter has created more connections, which I imagine will help in my future career creating and maintaining professional contacts.       Hello everyone! Today's blog will go over three broad topics: ELA technology standards, CPALMS educator kits, and the benefits of proficient google searching for teachers. These are all very interesting and important concepts educators and future educators should consider and grow in understanding of. We can get right into it now, hope you all enjoy!     This blog will be looking at the ELA technology standards for first grade specifically. While there are three main standards, the one I find the most interesting will be the one discussed here. This standard is one where the students should know how and where to find information in the text using various features.
